Position Summary:
Nursing Catalyst serves System-level Chief Nursing Officers and their deputies to drive innovation across the nursing enterprise.
Associate Directors are key team members who support the core products of our Nursing Catalyst business: research projects, content development, and other initiatives related to our health system and industry member executives. Nursing Catalyst conducts much of its research initiatives in partnership with member health systems and healthcare companies. Working closely with a broader research team, Research Analysts are directly involved with all daily operations and research initiatives.
Examples of past Research Projects include evaluations of health systems responses to industry trends (e.g., workforce challenges), identifying new and emerging pilots in delivering care (e.g., virtual nursing), and understanding the potential impact of technology on nursing challenges (e.g., administrative burden)
Associate Directors are primarily responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses and developing deliverables (e.g., written reports, presentations, online content) for the membership broadly. You would conduct research interviews, analysis, and the creation of deliverables and presentation materials. Academy insights are frequently presented and discussed at Academy meetings, shared through our digital channels, and regularly featured in press and media outlets. Senior analysts serve as internal nursing content experts, and will virtually present research findings to internal and external audiences.
Primary Job Duties:
· Document findings from primary and secondary research
· Lead analysis of findings from qualitative data collected from interviews, site visits, literature reviews, etc.
· Lead interviews with executives from health systems and industry organizations
· Produce graphical and written analyses of findings for interim and final deliverables
· Create qualitative surveys using online survey tools for data collection
· Enter, check, and harmonize data for research studies
· Independently collect, input and analyze health services & health policy data.
· Develop insights and shape research deliverables
· Represent the team with other departments, such as Content Marketing, Account Management, and other research teams to deliver content and services to members
· Support the development of presentations
· Serve as a nursing subject matter expert to internal audiences
· Present research findings to internal and external audiences
· Provide input to senior leadership on opportunities for improving value delivery to member organizations
· Recommend and implement improvements to internal team and company processes and operations
· Other projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
· 4+ years of experience in a research setting, or graduate degree in healthcare administration, health policy, business, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Project management experience: plan, organize, and manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously with limited supervision or direction
• Previous experience presenting research findings and communicating findings to stakeholders
· Strong writing skills and experience writing reports
· Strong analytic skills, including the ability to think critically, creatively, and problem solve
· General interest in healthcare
· Experience conducting qualitative primary and secondary healthcare research
· Ability to complete tasks on tight deadlines without compromising quality
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with Excel and Power Point
· Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation:
Starting salary of $90,000 per year based upon experience plus benefits
